Fulani Herdsmen: Afenifere Replies Kwankwaso

 Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has faulted remarks made by former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso, who allegedly justified the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the South West.

Kwakwanso had said over the weekend that “the issue of conflict between the farmers and Fulani herdsmen is not common to the South west alone. It is not even common to Nigeria. It is all over the sub region”.

But in a statement, Afenifere’s publicity secretary, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, faulted Kwankwaso on the grounds that his comment did not address the issue of the herdsmen attacks and the abduction of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Chief Olu Falae.

He said, “Kwankwaso’s grouse with Yoruba leaders was our call for an end to the criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen in the region at the recent summit in Ibadan and that the Yoruba nation may reconsider its place in a union that could not protect us and would not allow us to protect ourselves if we did not see any sign to restructure Nigeria into a proper federation.

“Kwakwanso did not condemn the abduction of Chief Olu Falae, the killing of innocent farmers, raping of women and destruction of crops and farmlands in the course of the grazing activities of Fulani herdsmen. He only tacitly justified their activities by offering excuses for their criminal conducts.”

“The issue that we are talking about, education is very important. If all Fulani are given opportunity to go to school, I don’t think they will risk their lives and their animals going into the bush, where there are reptiles. I think the key thing is education.

“Kwakwanso wants Yoruba “understanding of the situation” while his kinsmen continue to draw their blood, violating their women and destroying their farmlands until Mallam decides to give them education may be when we celebrate another centenary.

Almajiri here is a positive word but the way they see it is that we are beggars, that we produce so many children that we cannot take care of, and that is what the First Lady was saying and we kept quiet because we had our own way of answering her and we did exactly that on the 28th of March.”

“Kwankwanso further said that the Fulani should be given the opportunity to go to school as if the Yoruba were the ones who denied them such opportunity in almost 40 years that the north has held power since independence.

“With the uncouth, rude and insensitive remarks of Kwankwaso and his ilk in the North which are like pouring salt on injury, it is coming clear to us that there may be a grand agenda with the activities of the Fulani herdsmen either as an advance party of Boko Haram into our territory or an expansionist project.

“The Yoruba leaders therefore stand by every word in the Ibadan declaration,” said Odumakin.

US-based Gambian boosts Medina Serign Mass Health Centre

Muhammed Kah, a native of Nuimi Medina Serign Mass village, based in the United States of America recently handed over medical items through the Medina Youth Association to the Medina Serign Mass minor health centre in the North Bank Region.

The donated items, which comprise of drugs, dressing materials, hand gloves, and many other equipment will go a long way towards supporting health delivery services of the minor health centre, serving 6 satellite villages.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Muhammed Kah said he was motivated to donate the items when he visited The Gambia after being away for 13 years and after visiting a local clinic.
“I might live in the US but this is home and this is where I am from; it is what motivated me to give a donation to the clinic and by the grace of God, it will be a continuous thing . I think it will be helpful because now they have things as simple as gloves, vitamins, pain killers, bandages and other things to help them execute their jobs, as well as help the local community and surroundings,” he said while urging them to make best use of the donated equipment.
Muhammed Kah, the founder of Light Up and Connect Africa (LUPCA) foundation promised to continue supporting the health centre and the rural folks.
Ebrima M. Njie, the president of Medina Youth Association, explained that the association is an auxiliary to the government’s effort in providing health delivery services to the door steps of every Gambian community, as well as to contribute its part in the development of the nation.
He thanked Muhammed Kah for the timely donation and assured that the donation would go a long way in helping those coming for treatment in the health post.
“The association is calling on all natives of the village in town and abroad to come to the aid of the health facility as supporting their development agenda means a lot to the community and nationwide,” He added.
Njie expressed the association’s appreciation to their brother Muhammad Kah and his counterpart for their generosity to the development of the village especially the health sector.
Other members of the health post committee also expressed similar sentiments.

The CON of CONde is Bigger than the CON Man.

was hardly surprised to hear that once again -amid evidence of election rigging- Alpha Conde has been re-confirmed as president of Guinea. It was something that I expected. Once I saw that Conde had regular meetings with Heads of States in America (Obama) and France (Hollande) I already knew that the die was set and the "fix" was in.

Before the election was finished western media outlets repeated the line that "incumbent Conde is favored to win". Anytime this type of sophisticated "polling" is done in a poor third world country -know that there is a bigger hand pulling the strings behind the scenes.

The stealing of this election with the calculated mayhem expected in the aftermath is Classic C.I.A. textbook destabilization of "Third World Countries". Believe it or not Conde is just being used, He doesn't have the intelligence or the where with all to pull of such a massive fraud. This fraud has all of the markings of techniques that take place in "first world" elections, So for a poor country like Guinea it is a "push over".

Well, why the Destabilization of Guinea?

Guinea, though downplayed as an Ebola ridden and Violence plagued African Nation is extremely critical and vital for the Survival of Western Hegemony on this planet. It has the largest deposit of Bauxite on the planet earth. One may ask what is bauxite (aluminum) good for other than foil? Practically every product and construction needs Bauxite!! From Cars, to Buildings, to Soda Cans, toothpaste tubes, Computers, Weaponry, etc, etc, etc, the list is endless.

Therefore, controlling a Bauxite rich country like Guinea by keeping it poor so that they can continue to get this vital material for little or nothing is extremely important. Having someone in power that will continue to allow the west unabated access to the resources is also of tantamount importance.

It is for this reason that GUINEA MUST STAY POOR, GUINEA MUST STAY AT WAR WITH ITSELF, GUINEA MUST STAY AT THE MERCY OF THE U.S. AND THE E.U.

I'm afraid that protesting against Conde is really a no-win situation. The Civil Strife will only serve to further destabilize an already weakened nation by poverty, Malaria, Ebola, and Election violence.

Even if Cellou Dalien Diallo were to force a run-off and take power, he too would be given an Ultimatum to either do the bidding of the West or pay the Ultimate Sacrifice: Be over thrown or killed in a Western organized coup d'etat.

As long as we continue to fight to preserve the Colonial boundaries and System put into place by our former Masters, then we will always be at their Mercy. However, there is a solution. The question is will the people and the leadership be willing to implement it?
